The cookbook 'LêLês gadekøkken' was published in 2008. It was created by Anh Lê and contains a number of classic dishes from 'the old' LêLê as well as most of the dishes found at the current restaurant. 

In addition to the multiple recipes, the book takes you on a very personal journey while explaining both the distinct vietnamese street kitchen and the new dishes presented in the restaurant.

Each recipe is accompanied by a compelling story or anecdote that either incorporates lessons in traditional, core values of a Vietnamese family or the unique and sometimes idiosyncratic experiences of author Ahn Lê. 

If you wish to try your culinary skills at Vietnamese cuisine the book is an excellent place to start.
